Remaining six clubs gear up for Week 2 debut

USL League One officially kicked off its sixth season with three matches last Saturday. The season continues with the remaining six clubs opening their 2024 campaigns and both Central Valley and Spokane gearing up for big home openers.

Will Omaha keep the Players' Shield holders' undefeated streak alive or will Jermaine Jones get his second win as Central Valley's head coach? 4 Charlotte Independence

Average Ranking: 4		 The Jacks will celebrate the first match of their 10th season as they welcome Knoxville to American Legion Memorial Stadium. While Knoxville was the only club that the League One runners-up failed to defeat a season ago, Charlotte hasn’t lost a match at home since July 2023.

Average Ranking: 5		 Madison is gearing up for the first match of its sixth season on the road in Statesboro. The ‘Mingos have dominated the Ibses in Statesboro, racking up a 3-1-1 record across five previous contests.
6 Greenville Triumph SC

Average Ranking: 8		 Triumph SC is back in familiar territory, sitting atop the table following its largest victory since June 2023. Rick Wright kicked off his coaching tenure with a convincing victory against newcomers Spokane Velocity FC.
7 One Knoxville SC

Average Ranking: 7		 Knoxville will look to remain undefeated against Charlotte as the third-year side kicks off its second season in League One. Knoxville’s returning talent should prove vital to the team’s success this season.

Average Ranking: 8		 The Red Wolves will open their sixth season on the road against Lexington SC. The last time Chattanooga visited Toyota Stadium the Red Wolves dropped five goals on the hosts in what was the latter's second-largest defeat in club history.

Average Ranking: 11		 Central Valley took advantage of the youngest team in the league in South Georgia on Saturday. Jermaine Jones will have a tougher task come Saturday as Fuego FC returns to Fresno to face Players’ Shield holders Union Omaha.

Average Ranking: 11		 Despite accruing more than two times as many expected goals as Greenville, Spokane fell to an experienced Triumph SC team on Saturday. The momentum could completely flip as the expansion side gears up to host the Kickers in its inaugural - sold-out - home opener.
12 South Georgia Tormenta FC

Average Ranking: 12		 The Ibises will look to bounce back from a disappointing loss to Fuego FC to open their season as they welcome the ‘Mingos to Tormenta Stadium. South Georgia has dropped four goals on Madison in each of their past two meetings.
