MADISON, Wis. - Forward Madison FC today announced the signing of 25-year-old Uruguayan forward Agustín Dávila for the 2024 season, pending league and federation approval.

"We are very excited to add Agustín to our 2024 roster. He has great international experience and has competed in some high-level places," said Madison Head Coach Matt Glaeser. "Agustín is hungry to come in and prove himself and show his ability in our market. His game intelligence, final quality in chance creation, and willingness to work on both sides of the ball will make him a key addition to our environment."

Dávila began his youth career with CA Oriental and later Uruguayan Primera División club CA Peñarol. In Aug. 2017, the then-18-year-old Dávila was sent to Spanish La Liga side Real Sociedad on a two-year loan with an option to buy. From 2018-19, Dávila made 23 appearances for Real Sociedad B in the Spanish third division.

In 2019, Dávila returned to Peñarol from his loan and made his first full professional appearance in a Primera División match against Liverpool FC in October. The forward was later loaned to Liverpool in 2020 and made his first appearance with the club in the 2020 Supercopa Uruguaya Final, scoring his first professional goal in the fifth minute of the contest against Nacional and leading his team to an extra-time victory.

Following 19 appearances for Liverpool in Montevideo across CONMEBOL Libertadores, CONMEBOL Sudamericana, Supercopa Uruguaya and Primera División play, Dávila returned to Peñarol and made seven appearances with the club before leaving for fellow Primera División side CA Boston River in 2021. Dávila made 10 appearances for Boston River in 2021 and 2023 before being loaned to Ecuadorian Serie A side Guayaquil City FC in 2023, making eight appearances with the club.

Dávila was a member of Uruguay's U-18 and U-20 youth national teams between 2017 and 2019. The Rivera, Uruguay native made a combined 22 appearances for La Celeste's youth national teams and notably helped Uruguay to a third-place finish in the 2019 CONMEBOL Sudamericano U-20.
