SPOKANE, Wash. - Spokane Velocity FC on Friday announced the signing of 26-year-old midfielder Pierre Reedy, pending league and federation approval.

The Kutztown, Pa. native began his youth career in 2011 with NPSL and USL League Two side Lehigh Valley United before developing in the New York Red Bulls Academy between 2015 and 2016.

Reedy attended Pennsylvania State University where he made 64 career starts on 69 appearances. He was team captain for three seasons and left school with nine career goals and 12 assists. His play for the Nittany Lions earned him Second Team All-America and All-Big Ten honors. Reedy spent three seasons with USL League Two club Reading United AC during college, leading the club to the 2019 USL League Two Final.

Reedy was signed to an MLS NEXT Pro contract with Real Monarchs in Feb. 2022 and made 18 appearances with the club. During the 2022 Major League Soccer season, Reedy was called up to play for Real Salt Lake's first team on a pair of occasions - once in an MLS regular season match against rivals Colorado Rapids in April and once in the Third Round of the 2022 U.S. Open Cup against USL League One side Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC.

Following a successful trial with Scottish Championship club Dundee FC in March 2023, Reedy was signed to a short-term contract. The midfielder made four appearances for the Dee between April 8 and April 22, helping the club secure promotion to the top-flight Scottish Premiership by the end of the season.

Reedy returned to the United States in July 2023, signing with USL Championship club Charleston Battery. Reedy made 13 appearances for the club and helped the Battery to the 2023 USL Championship Final.

"Pierre brings everything we are looking for in a person and a player. He is a great guy off the pitch but comes from a locker room that knows what it takes to be successful," said Spokane Head Coach Leigh Veidman. "He brings a fierce competitiveness, a dynamic attacking mindset, and is an extremely hard-working individual when it comes to defending and doing the work that often goes under the radar. He is a great addition to our club and community!"
