KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - One Knoxville SC announced the signing of German forward Kempes Tekiela, pending league and federation approval.

The 26-year-old goalscorer joins One Knoxville SC after success in Luxembourg with top-flight National Division side Union Titus Pétange. A proven goalscorer, Tekiela recorded 22 goals in 39 matches during his time in Pétange.

Before his time in Luxembourg, Tekiela was a product of the German football system, playing for lower-division German clubs FC Kray, SV Westfalia Rhynern and Borussia Dortmund II. Tekiela also spent time in Luxembourg with FC Progrès Niederkorn on loan from Borussia Dortmund II before joining Esbjerg fB, then of the second-tier Danish 1st Division.

Across UEFA Europa League qualification, Danish 1st Division, Luxembourg National Division and German Regionalliga West play, among other competitions, Tekiela has amassed 57 goals and 18 assists across 167 appearances.

"Kempes is a goalscorer. He has the ability to score all types of goals and also has the potential to continue his scoring ways here in Knoxville," OKSC Head Coach Mark McKeever said. "Kempes has great size, wonderful awareness of the game and a sweet left peg that will leave our fans as excited as I am."

"In all honesty, it has always been a dream of mine to live in the United States and now I can fulfill this dream with my passion for soccer," Tekiela said. "I believe in the project One Knoxville SC has presented to me and I am coming to support by scoring goals."
