KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - One Knoxville SC on Monday announced the signing of Rwanda international Nshuti Innocent, pending league and federation approval.

The Rwandan forward joins One Knoxville SC after spending the  2016-18 and 2019-23 seasons with 2023 Rwanda Premier League winners Armée Patriotique Rwandaise FC. For the 2018-19 season, Innocent made three Tunisian Ligue Professionnelle 1 appearances for Stade Tunisien before returning to APR FC in 2019.

The 25-year-old forward - who will become the first Rwandan to make an appearance in League One - has made appearances for APR FC in Premier League, CAF Champions League, and CAF Confederation Cup play between 2018 and 2023. During his time in Kigali, Innocent helped the Lions to six Premier League titles, one Rwanda Peace Cup and one Rwanda Super Cup.

Since his senior national team debut for the Wasps in 2021, Innocent has made 10 appearances with the Rwanda national team across FIFA World Cup qualification, Africa Cup of Nations qualification and African Nations Championship play.

"Nshuti is bringing a wealth of experience having played at the highest level in Rwanda for several years, not to mention his inclusion in the senior national team," Knoxville Head Coach Mark McKeever said. "Nshuti loves to score all different types of goals and will cause massive problems for defenders."
