CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - Chattanooga Red Wolves SC today announced the return of the club's all-time appearances leader Ualefi "Wally" Dos Reis, pending league and federation approval. He is the longest-tenured Red Wolves player in club history and captained nearly every game in the 2023 season.

Across 30 games in the 2023 season, Ualefi recorded 2,316 minutes with 29 starts. He had 23 tackles won, 23 clearances, eight blocks, and 23 interceptions. Dos Reis also had 944 successful passes with a 85.6 passing accuracy and 16 successful dribbles. 

On Saturday, Aug. 26th Ualefi became the first player in Chattanooga Red Wolves SC history to make 100 appearances for the club. On that day, the Red Wolves snagged a point against South Georgia Tormenta FC after Ropapa Mensah found the late equalizer in extra time to make it 4-4. Dos Reis was honored before the game and presented with a framed jersey from General Manager Sean McDaniel marking his 100th appearance for the club.

The São Paulo, Brazil native developed in the Corinthians youth and Associação Atlética Flamengo academy systems before making his professional debut in the USL Championship with Sporting Kansas City II in 2016. Ualefi made a pair of appearances for Sporting Kansas City against Vancouver Whitecaps FC in the 2016 Concacaf Champions Cup. 

"Ualefi Dos Reis is Mr. Chattanooga," Red Wolves Head Coach Scott Mackenzie said. He is coming off a great personal season in which he grew in quality and consistency, and I know he is hungry and motivated to bring silverware to Chattanooga. Wally comes back once again as club captain and we are all very excited to have him back in red for 2024."
