GREENVILLE, S.C. - Greenville Triumph SC today announced the return of club legends and 2020 USL League One champions Evan Lee and Brandon Fricke, pending league and federation approval. Lee's 125 and Fricke's 123 League One regular season appearances are second and third, respectively, in league history.

A center back turned holding midfielder, Lee showed his attacking capabilities with three assists and 11 shots at the end of the 2023 season, and since 2019, Lee has emerged as a pivotal playmaker, earning USL League One All-League First Team honors in 2022.

The Toledo, Ohio native played collegiately at Ohio Wesleyan University before starting his professional career in the USL Championship. Lee made appearances with both FC Cincinnati and the Richmond Kickers between 2016 and 2018. The second player to sign with the Triumph in 2019, Lee enters his sixth season with the club.

A steadfast member of the Triumph backline, Brandon Fricke will look to expand his resume which already includes 2020 USL League One Defender of the Year and a trio of appearances on the USL League One All-League team.

The 31-year-old will return to the club for his fifth season, this time under new Head Coach Rick Wright. Prior to arriving in Greenville, the Iowa native spent the inaugural League One season with Lansing Ignite FC, captaining the team to the inaugural 2019 League One Playoffs. Fricke played his collegiate soccer at Butler University, appearing in 71 matches before being drafted by the Colorado Rapids in the 2015 MLS SuperDraft.
