MADISON, Wis. - Forward Madison announced that Head Coach and Technical Director Matt Glaeser has signed a multi-year agreement and will return for the 2024 season. This is Glaeser's third year with the 'Mingos, as he looks to build off of a 2023 USL League One Playoffs appearance.

Following a ninth-place finish in 2022, Glaeser and his staff completely restructured the team for 2023. With only four players returning, new talent was handpicked to gel with Glaeser's values and strategy which resulted in a sixth-place finish and a first USL League One Playoffs berth since 2019.

"We look forward to continue to build with Matt and his staff on the pitch," Madison Chief Operating Officer and Owner Conor Caloia said. "We believe in Matt's vision for the club and the direction he is headed. We are confident that stability and consistency on the technical side will lead to continued improvement in 2024."

Glaeser was awarded the USL League One Coach of the Month award in June, during which the team held its longest winning streak. FMFC also recorded the most clean sheets in club history, 12, the second-most in the league last season.

"I am extremely proud and grateful to have the opportunity to continue helping our club progress," Glaeser said. "I would like to thank our ownership group for their support and belief in me, my staff and my players.  Our fanbase is the best in the league, and we will do everything we can to reward them. Our goal is to advance the progress made this season and push for trophies."
