TAMPA, Fla. – USL League One today announced the finalists for the 2023 USL League One Awards, with the leading performers in five categories earning nominations following the league's record-breaking fifth campaign. The award winners will be announced between Tuesday, Nov. 7 and Friday, Nov. 10.

The 2023 USL League One Awards were voted on by team technical staffs and executives.

GOALKEEPER OF THE YEAR FINALISTS

WINNER ANNOUNCED Tuesday, Nov. 7

• Lalo Delgado, Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC: Delgado racked up the fourth-most saves across the league (82) in his first season in Windsor and helped the Hailstorm concede the fewest goals in the regular season (37). The 25-year-old 'keeper's 13 clean sheets tied Dallas Jaye (Greenville, 2019) for the most in a single season in League One history.
• Sean Lewis, One Knoxville SC: The 2023 USL League One Golden Glove winner showed out in Knoxville's first League One season, totaling 85 saves, eight clean sheets and a league-best 1.04 goals against average.
• Austin Pack, Charlotte Independence: In his first full season as a starter, Pack set a new league record with his 116 saves during the regular season. The 29-year-old shot-stopper added nine clean sheets, 208 recoveries and 150 successful long passes.

Defender OF THE YEAR FINALISTS

WINNER ANNOUNCED Tuesday, Nov. 7

• Arthur Rogers, Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC: The 27-year-old Londoner and reigning USL League One Defender of the Year led the league with 90 crosses and 88 chances created - the most in a single season in league history - while adding 197 completed long passes, 189 recoveries, 170 duels won and 41 tackles won. Rogers' passing score (72.48) was the highest on the season - and second-highest in league history behind his own record set a season ago - according to American Soccer Analysis.
• Jordan Skelton, One Knoxville SC: Pairing up defensively with Sean Lewis in goal, the League One veteran and Newcastle native helped lock down the Knoxville back line in the club's first season in the league. Skelton led the league with his 170 clearances and added 181 duels won, 133 recoveries, 27 tackles won, 25 blocks, one goal and one assist.
• Alexis Souahy, Union Omaha: The 2018 USL Championship title-winner and former Comoros international hit the ground running in his first season in Omaha. Souahy tallied 149 recoveries, 134 completed long passes, 113 duels won, 89 clearances, 23 interceptions and one goal.

COACH OF THE YEAR FINALISTS

WINNER ANNOUNCED Wednesday, Nov. 8

• John Bradford, North Carolina FC: In his third season at the helm in Cary, Bradford led the 17-year-old club to its best-ever season with a 19-7-6, second-place finish. Bradford's 2023 NCFC squad finished the regular season with the third-most goals in a single season in league history (58), the second-most points in league history (63) and tied for the most wins in a single season in league history (19).
• Dominic Casciato, Union Omaha: Filling the shoes of Jay Mims was always going to be a tall task, but all Dominic Casciato did was come in and set a new league record for points in a single season - in his first season as a head coach, no less. The first-year head coach guided Omaha to a second Players' Shield with a first-place, 19-5-8 finish. Casciato's Owls set single-season league records for points (65), goals (61), goals per match (1.91) and finished with the second-most points per match in league history (2.03).
• Éamon Zayed, Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC: Éamon Zayed - the first former League One player to take up the role of head coach in the league - guided his Hailstorm to a club-best season with an 18-6-8, third-place finish. Along with scoring the second-most goals (59) and conceding the fewest goals (37) in the league in 2023, Zayed's side accumulated the third-most points in a single season in league history (62) and tied a single-season league record with their +22 goal differential.

Young player OF THE YEAR FINALISTS

WINNER ANNOUNCED Thursday, Nov. 9

• Omar Ciss, Charlotte Independence: The 2022 USL League One Young Player of the Year finalist followed up his productive debut campaign in Charlotte with three goals and five assists in 2023. Ciss added 149 recoveries, 133 duels won, 82 completed long passes and 28 chances created.
• Jackson Khoury, South Georgia Tormenta FC: The Central Coast Mariners academy product enjoyed a stellar first professional season in Statesboro. The Australian winger led all eligible players with seven goals, 13 total goal contributions and 37 chances created.
• Jayden Onen, Forward Madison FC: After spending time with the youth systems of Arsenal, Crystal Palace and Brentford in his native England, Onen broke out in his first professional season. The 22-year-old Uganda national team prospect tallied six assists and led all eligible players with 19 interceptions and 16 shots on target.

Player of the Year FINALISTS

WINNER ANNOUNCED Friday, Nov. 10

• Trevor Amann, Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC: The second-year professional and 2023 USL League One Golden Boot winner shattered a league record with his 23 goals on the season. Amann set single-season league records with seven braces, 109 total shots and 45 shots on target. Amann's expected goals plus expected assists mark (21.52) and goals added value (5.80) were the most in league history, according to American Soccer Analysis.
• Oalex Anderson, North Carolina FC: The St. Vincent and the Grenadines international doubled his career scoring total with 17 goals in 2023. Anderson added six assists, 39 shots on target and 23 chances created to NCFC's stellar 2023.
• Arthur Rogers, Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC: With a league-leading 11 assists on the season, the 2023 USL League One Golden Playmaker now possesses the most assists in league history after just a pair of campaigns in League One. The 2022 USL League One Defender of the Year and 2022 USL League One Most Valuable Player finalist joins three-time MVP Emiliano Terzaghi as the only player to be named finalist for the award multiple times.
