League One Player of the Month Nominees – July

A combined 23 goal contributions for five Player of the Month nominees

TAMPA, Fla. – USL League One today announced the five nominees for the League One Player of the Month presented by Konami eFootball for July, with top performers from the fifth season’s fifth month selected for the ballot.

Voting for the League One Player of the Month award will be conducted by the following two voting bodies:

  • A fan vote on USLLeagueOne.com will comprise 60% of the poll. The fan vote will run through Tuesday, August 8 at 8:30 p.m. ET.

  • The USL Technical Committee’s ballots comprise 40% of the poll.

The award winner and complete voting results will be announced on Wednesday, August 9.

Please note: The League One Player of the Month selection process in no way is tied directly to the voting and selection process of End of the Year awards such as League One Most Valuable Player or position players of the year.

USL LEAGUE ONE PLAYER OF THE MONTH – July

  • F – Trevor Amann (NCO) – Amann's July got off to a hot start as the second-year professional totaled six goals - including a pair of braces - across Northern Colorado's first four matches of the month. The Westminster, Colo. native also won 30 duels, 14 fouls and helped the Hailstorm to a 4-2-1 July.
  • F – Oalex Anderson (NC) – Continuing his most productive professional season, Anderson scored four goals in an undefeated 3-0-2 July with NCFC. The St. Vincent and the Grenadines international won 17 duels, six fouls and created a pair of chances. Anderson's 1.43 goals-added mark was the most on the month, according to American Soccer Analysis.
  • F – Steevan Dos Santos (OMA) – Guiding Omaha to a bounce-back 4-2-0 July, the veteran goalscorer tallied three goals and one assist in his most productive month since July 2022 with the Tampa Bay Rowdies. The former Cape Verde international also won a league-high 18 fouls, won 47 duels, one penalty and created seven chances.
  • D – Bruno Rendón (NCO) – The first-year Northern Colorado defender has excelled in his first season in Windsor. Rendón led the league with his 60 duels and 17 tackles won while adding two goals and two assists. The Cuban also added 15 completed long passes, 10 chances created and eight interceptions.
  • F – Kazaiah Sterling (TRM) – After missing the first half of the season with an injury, the 2022 USL League One Final MVP is picking up right where he left off. Sterling recorded four goals and one assist in Tormenta FC's 3-2-0 July. The former England youth international also won 28 duels, 11 fouls and one penalty.
