TAMPA, Fla. – Richmond Kickers forward Emiliano Terzaghi was voted USL League One’s Player of the Month presented by Konami eFootball for June. The Richmond Kickers' seven and Emiliano Terzaghi's five Player of the Month recognitions are the most in league history for both a club and a player.

The league’s all-time leading scorer became the first player in league history to surpass the 50-goal mark with his five-goal June. The Kickers’ captain was responsible for all five of Richmond’s goal in June and won 15 duels, 10 fouls, 10 recoveries and two penalties to go along with his four chances created.

"It’s always good to be recognized for your work," Terzaghi said. "The team put in a lot of effort and work to help achieve it. This Player of the Month award reflects the team’s work as well."

"Emi scores goals and we needed him to find his form as we headed into June," Kickers Head Coach and Sporting Director Darren Sawatzky said. "He rewarded the team with valuable goals, and his continued professionalism here in Richmond helps the younger players learn and grow. We look forward to him being the threat he is in front of goal for years to come."

The thrice-consecutive league Most Valuable Player kicked off June with a 14th-minute winner for the Roos against the Red Wolves. In his final four matches of the month, Terzaghi added four more goals with braces against Central Valley on June 10 and Knoxville on June 24. With his productive month, League One's all-time leading scorer set all-time league records for penalty goals scored (12) and penalties won (9).

Terzaghi received 42% of a weighted poll that included the USL League One Technical Committee and an online fan vote held at USLLeagueOne.com. North Carolina FC forward Garrett McLaughlin finished second on 19.2% with his three goal contributions, while Greenville Triumph SC midfielder Lyam MacKinnon finished third on 18.2% after exploding for five goals in June.
