CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - Chattanooga Red Wolves SC today announced the signing of Dutch forward Marios Lomis for the remainder of the 2023 League One season, pending league and federation approval.

Lomis began his career in the youth system of Dutch side Koninklijke HFC before suiting up for the senior clubs of lower-division Dutch sides Koninklijke HFC, Aanhouden Doet Overwinnen 1920 and VV Noordwijk between 2012 and 2017. In 2017, Lomis moved to the United States and played collegiately at Creighton University.

Lomis got his professional career started in the USL Championship with North Carolina FC in 2018. He was named NCFC’s Comeback Player of the Year in 2019 following an ankle injury sustained in the first half of the season. In 2020, he signed with and appeared in five matches for fellow USL Championship side El Paso Locomotive FC before moving back to North Carolina FC in August of that year.

He then joined USL League One and Greenville Triumph SC for the 2021 season, where he tallied the most goals in a single regular season for the club with 14 scores - tied for the fifth-most in a single League One regular season. Following his lone season in League One, Lomis was named to the All-League First Team.

The Bennebroek, Netherlands native most recently played with Sirens FC of the Maltese Premier League in 2022 where he scored four goals across a combined 12 league and cup matches. Lomis signed with third-division Greek side AE Lefkimmi FC in January 2023 but did not make an appearance for the club.
