Subtle shifts across the board following Week 13

The Charlotte Independence were the only side to sit out of Week 13's action, but the Jacks still retain their spot atop the Power Rankings.

Can the Kickers continue to overachieve? How long until the Hailstorm climb to the top? Tell us why your club should rank higher and keep the conversation going on Twitter at @USLLeagueOne.

Summary

1 Charlotte Independence
(6-2-4)
Week 14: @ KNX

Last Week: 1
The Jacks were the lone team to sit out Week 13 but still maintain the longest win streak in the league at three. Back-to-back trips to the Volunteer State with matchups against Knoxville and Chattanooga precede a massive meeting with North Carolina FC.
2 Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC
(5-1-4)
Week 14: @ TRM
1
Last Week: 3
Still riding the momentum of a stellar May which saw the Hailstorm claim Player (Amann) and Coach (Zayed) of the Month honors, Northern Colorado are riding the longest undefeated streak in club history at six.
3 North Carolina FC
(7-4-1)
Week 14: v. LEX
1
Last Week: 2
NCFC jumped out to a big lead in the table early in the season, but after going 2-3-0 since May 13, three clubs are within three points of the league leaders. Three points against Lexington this weekend would be expected ahead of a big Dogwood Derby duel with second-place Charlotte on June 30.
4 Richmond Kickers
(5-3-5)
Week 14: v. MAD

Last Week: 4
As mentioned last week, the Kickers are one of the most statistically dominant teams so far this season. While Richmond are one of three clubs to both score more and concede less than expected and also lead the league with 6.41 points won above expected, the clubs the Kickers have faced have graded out as the most efficient group of opponents in terms of goals added, according to American Soccer Analysis.
5 Forward Madison FC
(4-3-4)
Week 14: @ RIC
1
Last Week: 6
Following a pair of head-scratching losses to last-place Central Valley on June 3 and last-place Chattanooga on June 7, Madison bounced back in a big way by delivering first-place NCFC its largest loss since October 2022. A big test awaits the ‘Mingos in the form of the Kickers, and Madison will aim to knock off Richmond for the second consecutive time at City Stadium.
6 One Knoxville SC
(4-4-4)
Week 14: v. CLT
1
Last Week: 5
After Knoxville’s 2-1 victory over Greenville on May 20, the first-year side has picked up just two points across three matches. Facing the easiest batch of opponents in terms of goals added, according to American Soccer Analysis, Knoxville is slightly underachieving early.
7 Greenville Triumph SC
(3-5-4)
Week 14: @ CV
1
Last Week: 8
Despite fielding the most productive offensive unit in the league, Greenville are winless in its last five matches and have conceded the joint-most goals in the league. Still, Triumph SC should view its upcoming matches against 11th-place Central Valley and 10th-place Chattanooga as winnable.
8 South Georgia Tormenta FC
(4-5-3)
Week 14: v. NCO
1
Last Week: 7
The defending champs are dead last when it comes to goal differential compared to expected goal differential and points won compared to expected points, according to American Soccer Analysis. With three consecutive 1-1 draws, the difference may come when Kazaiah Sterling and Kingsford Adjei return to full health.
9 Union Omaha
(2-3-6)
Week 14: --

Last Week: 9
Unable to hang on to leads this season, the Owls are tied with last-place Lexington with a league-high eight points dropped from winning positions. Amazingly, Omaha is a dismal 3-9-9 with a -12 goal differential across all competitions since Sept. 3, 2022.
10 Lexington SC
(2-5-4)
Week 14: v. CHA, @ NC

Last Week: 10
While Lexington’s strong individual performances have led the side to a league-high three Players of the Week, the first-year side has struggled to put it all together. Amal Knight in goal and Ates Diouf up top have been a welcome surprise, though.
11 Chattanooga Red Wolves SC
(3-6-2)
Week 14: @ LEX
1
Last Week: 12
The Red Wolves have amassed the most points gained from losing positions (7) and are one of six clubs to have picked up more points than expected, according to American Soccer Analysis. An impressive victory over a strong Madison side is a good sign from Chattanooga.
12 Central Valley Fuego FC
(3-7-1)
Week 14: v. GVL
1
Last Week: 11
A season after finishing a win away from a postseason appearance in its inaugural campaign, it’s clear Fuego FC is suffering a sophomore slump. Still, it’s nice to see Villyan Bijev and José Carrera-García on the scoresheet in recent weeks.
