Emiliano Terzaghi becomes second player in league history to earn Player of the Week honors in three separate seasons

TAMPA, Fla. – USL League One today announced the Team of the Week for Week 13 of the 2023 regular season with Richmond Kickers forward Emiliano Terzaghi named Player of the Week presented by Konami eFootball with his two-goal Week 13. Terzaghi (2021, 2022, 2023) joins fellow Kicker Nil Vinyals (2020, 2021, 2022) as the only player in league history to be named Player of the Week in three separate seasons.

Following Richmond's first shutout loss of the season at the hands of Northern Colorado on Wednesday, Terzaghi was integral to the Kickers' bounce-back victory in Fresno. The league's all-time leading scorer got the action started for the visiting Kickers when he won a penalty in the 50th minute of the contest. After converting the penalty in the 52nd minute to draw the Kickers level, Terzaghi pulled out an emphatic winner in the 71st minute, chesting down a ball and hitting it sweetly on the volley to seal the victory.

"It was a week of a lot of work and effort from the team since we had two road games out west in just a few days," Terzaghi said. "It’s always good to help the team get points to keep moving toward our season goals."

"We are happy for Emi getting on the score sheet again this week," Head Coach and Sporting Director Darren Sawatzky said. "He has worked incredibly hard to find goals this season."

Madison lead all clubs with three starters on the Team of the Week following a two-match Week 13, while Northern Colorado and Chattanooga also place multiple starters on the Team of the Week. In total, 10 of the 11 clubs in action in Week 13 earn representation on the Team of the Week.
