Summary

1 North Carolina FC
(6-3-1)
Week 12: @ KNX

Last Week: 1
Much to the delight of the rest of the league, NCFC’s scorching form has cooled off a bit with two losses over its last three. Still, North Carolina has topped the table for over a month amidst its best start through 10 matches since 2013.
2 Charlotte Independence
(5-2-4)
Week 12: v. OMA

Last Week: 2
After two losses to start the month, the Jacks rounded out May with a pair of victories to go level on points with their Dogwood Derby rivals at the top of the table. Charlotte’s league-leading five clean sheets has the Independence off to their best start to a season since 2018.
3 Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC
(4-1-2)
Week 12: @ LEX
3
Last Week: 6
Northern Colorado is enjoying a club-record win streak, going 3-0-0 in May to confirm its third unbeaten month across its last four. While sitting on the fewest matches played in the league, the second-year side leads the league in points per game (2.00) and goals per match (1.86).
4 Richmond Kickers
(3-2-5)
Week 12: v. CHA
1
Last Week: 3
The most efficient team in the league in terms of scoring more and conceding less than expected, the Kickers have lost just once in their last five. A winnable Week 12 match at City Stadium against Chattanooga could position Richmond in the top three for the first time since April 1.
5 One Knoxville SC
(4-3-3)
Week 12: v. NC

Last Week: 5
Now enjoying its longest unbeaten streak since reeling off 12 consecutive in its inaugural 2022 USL League Two campaign, Knoxville has secured the best table position for an expansion side after 11 weeks in league history.
6 Forward Madison FC
(3-1-4)
Week 12: v. CV
1
Last Week: 7
Madison have been solid along the backline and in goal with Bernd Schipmann, conceding the fewest goals per match in the league (0.63). Madison has won two of its last three and is tied with Northern Colorado for the fewest losses (1) so far this season.
7 Union Omaha
(2-2-5)
Week 12: @ CLT
3
Last Week: 4
Adjusting well to first-year Head Coach Dominic Casciato’s style of play, the Owls lead the league in passing accuracy (81.81%) and average possession (55.09%). The second-most points dropped from winning positions (6), though, has been hindering a promising Omaha side’s success early.
8 South Georgia Tormenta FC
(4-5-1)
Week 12: @ GVL

Last Week: 8
Tormenta FC has scored a lot this season; the defending champs are tied for the third-most in the league. A league-low save percentage (55.88%) and the most goals conceded above expected (4.98), though, has defined the Ibises’ rocky start to their fifth professional campaign.
9 Greenville Triumph SC
(3-5-2)
Week 12: v. TRM
2
Last Week: 7
Triumph SC is tied for the most goals scored but have conceded the most in the league at the same time. John Harkes’ side will need to take advantage of an upcoming four-match stretch consisting of three clubs sitting below them in the table.
10 Lexington SC
(2-5-2)
Week 12: v. NCO
1
Last Week: 11
If Lexington retained the leads it held through its first nine matches, LSC would be in third place in the table rather than 10th. Still, a point against a solid Knoxville side last weekend is a step in the right direction.
11 Chattanooga Red Wolves SC
(2-5-2)
Week 12: @ RIC
1
Last Week: 10
Chattanooga leads the league with its seven points gained from losing positions this season, and it’s hard to believe that the Red Wolves would only have one point on the season if not for some last-minute comebacks.
12 Central Valley Fuego FC
(2-6-1)
Week 12: @ MAD

Last Week: 12
Despite a nice win against South Georgia on May 20, Central Valley has lost five of its last six and sits at the bottom of most statistical categories. It won't get any easier anytime soon as the second-year side faces Madison and Richmond to open up June.
