Series (First Meeting): 2-2-3 (2020)

In a battle of perennial League One powers, 2021 champions Union Omaha (2-1-4, 9th) and 2020 champions Greenville Triumph SC (3-5-1, 7th) will clash for the eighth time since the pair first met in 2020. While still early in the 2023 campaign, the Wednesday evening meeting at Werner Park will mark the first time the pair have met with both sitting below the playoff line in the league table.

Both Omaha and Greenville are on 10 points, though Triumph SC has played two more matches than the Owls which is reflected in the pair's points-per-match mark of 1.43 (OMA) and 1.11 (GVL). In similar form, Greenville and Richmond haven't won since May 3 and April 29, respectively, and will be eager to claim an all-time series advantage with a win on Wednesday. The match will also mark the first time Greenville's Devin Boyce will face his former side and the first time the 2021 All-League selection will play a match at Werner Park since hoisting the 2021 League One Final trophy.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

OMA - Rashid Nuhu: Fresh off his second penalty save in an Omaha shirt, Nuhu will have his hands full in containing the league's second-highest-scoring offense.

GVL - Leo Castro: The veteran Colombian has had an instant impact on a young Triumph SC side. The 34-year-old is tied for the second-most goal contributions in the league with six.

AVAILABILITY REPORT

OMA: D - Stefan Mueller (questionable, injury)

GVL: D - Noah Franke (injury, out), D - Jamie Smith (out, injury), D - Aaron Walker (doubtful, injury)
