USL LEAGUE ONE PLAYER OF THE MONTH – March

F - Mukwelle Akale, South Georgia Tormenta FC – The only player to record multiple goals in March, the former U.S. youth international and Villarreal CF youth product scored twice in as many matches for the defending champions. Akale added nine duels won, eight recoveries and an 83% passing completion rate to begin his first full season in Statesboro.

GK - Carlos Avilez, Chattanooga Red Wolves SC – Avilez set a personal and club record with his eight saves against Northern Colorado in Chattanooga's season-opening draw. F - Christian Chaney, Forward Madison FC – Bidding farewell to his native Fresno after just one season with Central Valley Fuego FC, Chaney opened his Madison account with an acrobatic 55th-minute equalizer in a 1-1 draw with Omaha. The veteran forward's 0.10 goals added from shooting led the league in March, according to American Soccer Analysis.

D - Clay Dimick, Charlotte Independence – Suiting up for the Jacks since 2019, Charlotte's captain helped the second-year League One side ascend to the top of the table by holding 2022 Players’ Shield winners Richmond to a scoreless draw and handing 2022 League One champions South Georgia its first loss of the season. Dimick led the league with 18 duels won and tallied 12 recoveries and three chances created.

M - Nil Vinyals, Richmond Kickers – Kicking off his fifth season in League One and third in Richmond, the Kickers' Spanish midfielder earned Player of the Week honors in Week 2 after he assisted his side's 12th-minute winner in Greenville.
