CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - Chattanooga Red Wolves SC announced the signing of Andrew Paoli for the 2023 USL League One season. The transaction is pending league and federation approval.

Paoil has experience at the youth national team level as a member of the United States U-16 Boys' Youth National Team and U-18 Men's Youth National Team. He was a member of the U-18 team that won the 23rd International Vaclaz Jezej Tournament in the Czech Republic. He also scored the game-winning goal for the U18 squad to beat Portugal's U-18 youth national team in stoppage time in Portugal.

The Mountain View, Calif. native developed in the San Jose Earthquakes Academy and earned 2016 U-15/16 U.S. Soccer Development Academy Player of the Year honors in the Western Conference.

Paoli played his collegiate career at UCLA where he appeared in 63 games over five seasons, and received the “Coaches’ Award” at the team’s end-of-season banquet.

Paoli made his professional debut with Bay Cities FC in the 2022 NISA season, making seven appearances and scoring one goal.

"I’m a player who likes to help the team control the field and provide rhythm in the game by connecting play from the back and getting the ball to our attacking players in good spots as well as keeping the team organized to win the ball back in good areas," Paoli said of his style of play.

"Andrew is the prototypical box-to-box midfielder that fits very well into Coach Ziggy’s system," Chattanooga Club President and General Manager Sean McDaniel said. "His impressive youth and collegiate career for the USYNT and his time at UCLA has prepared him well to help carry the Red Wolves towards a League One title."

"I have heard great things about Chattanooga and its supporters and want to win a championship with the team in a dominating and entertaining way," Paoli added.
