FRESNO, Calif. - Central Valley Fuego FC today announced the club will host Liga MX side CF Pachuca at Fresno State Soccer Stadium on Saturday, March 25 at 7 p.m. PT.

After finishing two points shy of the playoff line in its inaugural 2022 season, Fuego FC will begin its second season in USL League One on Wednesday, March 25 as it hosts North Carolina FC.

Defending Liga MX champion Pachuca, the Aperatura 2022 winners, are coming off their first league title since the Clausura 2016. The 121-year-old club has claimed seven Liga MX titles to go along with five Concacaf Champions League crowns. Its most recent Champions League victory saw Pachuca go on to finish third in the 2017 FIFA Club World Cup. Additionally, its 2006 CONMEBOL Sudamericana victory in 2006 earned the Mexican club the distinction of becoming the only club in the world to win a club championship in multiple confederations.

Pachuca returns to the United States after previously facing USL Championship sides Sacramento Republic FC in 2017, San Antonio FC in 2018, and Memphis 901 FC in 2019, among others. Pachuca last played in Fresno in 2021, as Los Tuzos fell to Liga MX counterpart Cruz Azul 2-1 at Chukchansi Park in friendly competition.
