The Charlotte Independence (6-7-4, 7th) host expansion side Central Valley Fuego FC (6-5-5, 5th) for the second time this season with a potential winner moving into third place heading into Saturday. Despite both clubs slowing down a bit after hot starts, Charlotte and Central Valley have made their way back up the table, earning eight and nine points in their last five matches, respectively. The pair's first meeting back in April wrapped up with three goals in the final ten minutes of action to finish a riveting match at 3-3.

CLT - Chris Hegardt: In his third match for the Independence, the Charlotte FC loanee showed out in the most productive match of his three-year professional career. The 20-year-old midfielder tallied one goal and two assists, contributing to all three Charlotte goals last week.

CV - Victor Falck: The man from Landvetter, Sweden had the best match of his professional career last Saturday, recording a brace and an assist while completing 87% of his passes and creating a trio of chances.
