MADISON, Wis. - Forward Madison FC today announced its second international friendly of the 2022 season. The 'Mingos will face Mexican club Pumas Tabasco on Wednesday, July 20 at 8 p.m. ET at Breese Stevens Field. Tickets for the match will go on sale this Wednesday, June 22 at 10 a.m. ET at www.forwardmadisonfc.com.
Pumas Tabasco is a Mexican club team that plays in Liga BBVA Expansión MX, the second tier of professional soccer in Mexico. Pumas Tabasco is an affiliated team of Club Universidad Nacional (U.N.A.M), playing in Liga MX. U.N.A.M have won 10 domestic trophies and the Concacaf Champions League three times. U.N.A.M aims to continue its club success with the creation of Pumas Tabasco in 2020. Pumas Tobasco is managed by Carlos Cariño and has a squad of promising young talent.
This will be Forward Madison’s second time hosting a Liga BBVA Expansión MX side at Breese Stevens Field, after 2021’s international friendly against Club Atlético Morelia. More recently, the Flamingos hosted their first international friendly of the 2022 season against 2. Bundesliga side SC Paderborn 07 on June 16.
