Four goals between South Georgia, Madison highlight entertaining contest

STATESBORO, Ga. – After a relatively slow start to the contest, South Georgia Tormenta FC (3-3-5, 8th) and Forward Madison FC (3-3-5, 7th) played to an exciting 2-2 draw in Statesboro on Sunday evening.

Tormenta FC defender Jake Dengler opened the scoring early with a header from an extremely tight angle. After taking the lead into the half, Tormenta FC conceded a pair of Madison goals from Mikey Maldonado and Rojay Smith. The final equalizing goal came as Dengler lofted a set piece down the pitch where Kingsford Adjei ripped a shot inside the far post.
