Exciting five-match evening rounds out Week 11

Richmond Kickers 4 - 0 Charlotte Independence

RICHMOND, Va. – The Richmond Kickers (4-3-3, 1st) handled the visiting Charlotte Independence (4-4-2, 5th) 4-0 on Saturday evening to claim a second consecutive victory over the Independence for the first time in the pair's seven-year series history. At the conclusion of the match, Richmond reestablished itself at the top of the league table and as the league's highest-scoring side.

20-year-old Ethan Bryant opened the scoring early after a Derrek Chan mishap near goal led to a perfect service from Jonathan Bolanos. Again finding success on the left side, Bolanos fired in a cross that Matt Bentley redirected nicely into the back of the net to double the Kickers lead. The final two Kicker goals would see Bryant and Bentley complete their braces with Bryant hammering in another Bolanos pass into an empty net and Bentley heading in a deflected Bolanos cross.

Forward Madison FC 3 - 2 Greenville Triumph SC

MADISON, Wis. – Forward Madison FC (3-3-4, 8th) earned its first victory over Greenville Triumph SC (4-4-2, 4th) as the 'Mingos downed the visitors 3-2 on Saturday evening at Breese Stevens Field. The 'Mingo victory was in large part due to Matheus Cassini who was involved in all three scores for the home side.

Cassini recorded the second-fastest goal in FMFC history in the second minute, cooling curling in a lengthy strike from the edge of the penalty area. Jacob Labovitz found his first as halftime approached, firing in a shot from the middle of the box. Cassini secured the 'Mingo win in the first 20 minutes of the second half, forcing a Nate Shultz own goal and chipping a rushing Paul Christensen later in the half. Labovitz would complete his brace, but it proved to be too little, too late for the visitors.
