Nazeem Bartman's Player of the Week performance propels FMFC to first home win

TAMPA, Fla. – USL League One today announced the Team of the Week for Week 10 of the 2022 regular season with Forward Madison FC forward Nazeem Bartman named Player of the Week. Bartman scored his third goal of the season and added his first assist in Madison’s 2-1 victory over FC Tucson.

Treating the over 2,500 Flamingo fans at Breese Stevens Field to their first home victory of the season, Forward Madison FC downed FC Tucson 2-1 on Saturday evening, avenging its late draw conceded to the side earlier in the season. Nazeem Bartman proved to be the difference maker, with a strong strike to open the scoring in the 30th minute before providing a chested assist on Abdou Thiam’s match winner in the 50th minute.

“We were able to close it out tonight and take a step in the right direction,” Forward Madison FC Head Coach Matt Glaeser said after the victory.

Richmond’s four-point, two-match week means a quartet of Kickers are placed on the Team of the Week, followed by a pair of representatives each from Forward Madison FC, Greenville Triumph SC and South Georgia Tormenta FC. Union Omaha’s victory over Chattanooga sees the side place one on the list to round out the 11.
