Four matches highlight Week 10 slate

Richmond Kickers 2 - 2 South Georgia Tormenta FC

RICHMOND, Va. – The all-time series between the Richmond Kickers (3-3-3, 5th) and South Georgia Tormenta FC (3-3-3, 6th) remains level at 2-2-4 following Saturday evening's 2-2 draw at City Stadium. The match was controlled offensively by the visiting South Georgia side, but a pair of goals from Kickers defenders saw the home side leap out to a 2-1 lead before the conclusion of the first half. Goals from Barry Sharifi and Adrian Billhardt –⁠ both assisted by Kazaiah Sterling –⁠ would be enough to secure the draw between the two.

Kazaiah Sterling (TRM) – Sterling recorded his first multi-assist match for the first time since doing so with the Tottenham Hotspur FC U-18's in 2017. The 23-year-old striker also won four fouls, completed 100% of his dribbles and won eight of nine ground duels.

Greenville Triumph SC 2 - 0 Charlotte Independence

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Despite a relatively slow start to the 2022 campaign, Greenville Triumph SC (4-3-2, 1st) vaulted to the top of the table for the first time this season, dethroning the Charlotte Independence (4-3-2, 2nd) at the top with a 2-0 victory. Despite making seven saves, a pair of tough goalkeeping plays saw new Charlotte loanee Noah Abrams concede a Venton Evans header and Don Smart penalty to decide the match in the second half.

Chattanooga Red Wolves SC 0 - 1 Union Omaha

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – Union Omaha (2-1-4, 8th) secured its first league victory in over a month, downing Chattanooga Red Wolves SC (3-5-2, 7th) 1-0 thanks to Joe Brito's second-minute match winner. The match saw the Red Wolves maintain nearly 70% of the possession but only managed to produce one shot on target. The victory is the first for Omaha over Chattanooga in the fourth meeting between the pair.

Forward Madison FC 2 - 1 FC Tucson

MADISON, Wis. – Forward Madison FC (2-3-4, 9th) defeated FC Tucson (2-5-1, 11th) 2-1 on Saturday evening at Breese Stevens Field, avenging its late draw conceded to Tucson earlier in the season. Nazeem Bartman proved to be the difference maker, with his goal and assist to propel Madison to its first home win of the season.
