Offensive explosion in first half gives way to defensive second half

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – Chattanooga Red Wolves SC (3-2-3, 1st) and Central Valley Fuego FC (2-1-4, 3rd) played to a riveting 2-2 draw on Saturday evening at CHI Memorial Stadium. An offensive explosion with four first-half goals gave way to a defensive and increasingly physical second half in Chattanooga.

The goal-filled first half saw both sides convert on a pair of chances to enter the halftime break with the scoreline knotted up at 2-2. Rafa Mentzingen opened the scoring just minutes into the match, as the Brazilian finished a close-range shot for the lead. Central Valley's Diego Casillas responded soon thereafter with a perfectly placed deflected shot into the top right corner of the net. A pair of wild sequences in stoppage time finished off first half with Victor Falck scoring three minutes in and Juan Galindrez converting a penalty five minutes in.
