Five clubs represented in first Save of the Month nomination of season

The first month of League One action featured plenty of spectacular goals, but just as many remarkable stops. Now, the past month’s five Save of the Week winners have all advanced to April's Fans’ Choice Save of the Month contest, and it’s your turn to pick which goal will claim the monthly honor.

Voting will continue through 12 p.m. ET on Tuesday, May 10.

USL LEAGUE ONE FANS’ CHOICE SAVE OF THE MONTH FINALISTS – April

Carlos Merancio (TUC) - #RICvTUC, April 2: Making himself big early in the match, Tucson's Carlos Merancio got low and extended his arm to deny a one-on-one chance from Richmond's Jonathan Bolanos

Akira Fitzgerald (RIC) - #RICvNCO, April 9: With a league-leading 12 saves in two matches, Fitzgerald again finds himself on the Save of the Week candidacy list as the Japanese 'keeper was forced to quickly shift from his left side to his right side to slap away a deflected ball in the box.

Philip Breno (MAD) - #TUCvMAD, April 16: On another free kick opportunity from long range, Tucson sent a shot toward the far post forcing Breno to fully extend and poke away the ball.

Rashid Nuhu (OMA) - #OMAvCV, April 23: One of three tough saves that earned him Team of the Week honors, Nuhu denied a Fuego FC attacker to preserve the clean sheet.

Paul Christensen (GVL) - #GVLvCHA, April 29: A crucial, last-minute save from Christensen off of a Chattanooga corner kick proved to be the difference between a Greenville win and draw.
