The Hailstorm earned their first league win of the year following a late score

CARY, N.C. – Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC (1-1-1, 7th) earned its first League One victory in club history following its 2-1 victory over North Carolina FC (1-2-1, 8th).

Northern Colorado opened the scoring early with a perfectly placed Irvin Parra header off of an Arthur Rogers free kick. Just six minutes later, however, Oalex Anderson cashed in on an unusually sloppy turnover from Robert Cornwall in the penalty area to even the match at one goal apiece. The final blow came from the visitors as Danny Robles fired home a deflected corner kick in the 80th minute to secure the visitors' victory.
