Jesus Partida's strike from center circle the difference in defensive match

MADISON, Wis. – Central Valley Fuego FC (2-1-1, 3rd) earned its second League One victory of the season with a 1-0 win on the road against Forward Madison FC (0-1-3, 10th). Madison's unbeaten start to the 2022 campaign was quickly upended thanks to a near-halfway-line strike from Fuego FC's Jesus Partida in the second half.

The defensive match saw just one shot on target between both Madison and Central Valley. Although Madison maintained a slim advantage in possession throughout the match, all 10 of its shots landed off target. The difference-maker came from Jesus Partida who gathered a Phil Breno turnover near the middle of the pitch and scored from distance, catching the FMFC goalkeeper well outside the penalty area.
