TUCSON, Ariz. – Forward Madison FC and FC Tucson played to a 1-1 draw at Kino North Stadium on Saturday evening. A long-distance goal from Christian Enriquez would be countered by a late goal from Jacob Crull. The draw sees FMFC extend its unbeaten start to the season and Tucson earn its first point of the year.
In a match that was even in nearly every statistical category, the early difference came from Christian Enriquez, as the second-year Flamingo caught Carlos Merancio off his line and fired a shot from well beyond the penalty area to take an early lead. Following a Cyrus Rad ejection in the 63rd minute, however, the home side capitalized on their personnel advantage, equalizing the match on a Jacob Crull header in the 81st minute.
