Scores from Vanacore-Decker, Terzaghi see both sides earn a point

RICHMOND, Va. – The Richmond Kickers were able to earn a point after trailing Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC in the latter's first League One match in club history. Ethan Vanacore-Decker's opening strike was answered by an Emiliano Terzaghi header to keep the scoreline even.

Despite both teams being short on rest following midweek U.S. Open Cup victories, the match got off to a lively start with both sides seeing chances. The first Hailstorm goal in League One play would come courtesy of Ethan Vanacore-Decker who collected a Denso Ulysse cross at the top of the penalty area and powered it into the upper left-hand corner of the goal. The Hailstorm would hang on to their lead until the 55th minute, when the league's all-time leading goalscorer, Emiliano Terzaghi, headed in a powerful equalizer that would ultimately earn both sides a point.
