An entertaining contest ended all square at Choctaw Stadium

ARLINGTON, Texas - North Texas SC and Union Omaha dueled to an entertaining 2-2 draw on Sunday night at Choctaw Stadium.

Damia Viader got the visitors off to a flying start with a spectacular strike in the 11th minute. The Spanish fullback drove in from the left wing, and smashed a shot with his weaker right foot that flew into the top corner from the edge of the penalty area.

But it wouldn't take long for North Texas to draw level, courtesy of a lovely ball over the top from Blaine Ferri which Kalil ElMedkhar tucked away. On the other side of halftime, the home side would go on to take the lead. This time, ElMedkhar turned provider, setting up Freddy Vargas for NTSC's second goal.

Los Búhos had one late twist up their sleeves though. Viader cleverly played in Evan Conway in the 81st minute, and the striker did well to create space and finish the chance, leveling the score for good.

Omaha returns home next Saturday to host FC Tucson, while North Texas will hit the road to take on North Carolina FC.
