Chattanooga bagged all three of its goals in an 18-minute second half span

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - A frenzied second half saw Chattanooga Red Wolves SC defeat North Carolina FC 3-1 on Saturday night at CHI Memorial Stadium.

The first half was chippy as neither side registered a shot on target, but the two teams combined for 15 fouls. After the break though, it was a completely different proposition.

The Red Wolves scored twice in six minutes through Jonathan Ricketts and Juan Galindrez, giving them a nice cushion in the 58th minute for the remainder of the second half. NCFC pulled one back through Luis Arriaga in the 69th minute, but it took no time at all for Chattanooga to restore its two-goal lead through Marky Hernandez.

At the second time of asking, Jimmy Obleda's team locked it down, and the Red Wolves collected all three points on the night.

Chattanooga returns to play next Saturday with another home game against the New England Revolution II. NCFC will welcome North Texas SC to WakeMed Soccer Park on Sunday, September 26.
