Ryan Sierakowski's stunner was canceled out by an 89th minute effort from Themi Antonoglou

TORONTO - Themi Antonoglou scored a scrappy late goal late to help Toronto FC II earn a 1-1 draw with Forward Madison FC on Friday afternoon at BMO Training Ground.

The game was pedestrian for the opening 40 minutes before springing to life just ahead of halftime. Ryan Sierakowski put Madison in front in the 41st minute with a stunning strike from distance, his third goal in his last four games.

TFC II then received a golden chance to immediately equalize from the penalty spot. FMFC goalkeeper Philip Breno had other ideas though, denying Garrett McLaughlin's attempt and preserving the Flamingos' lead.

The Young Reds continued to push in search of the leveler throughout the second half, and for long stretches, Breno was equal to everything the home side threw at him. But Antonoglou popped up in the 89th minute, capitalizing on a loose ball in the box to even the score and ensure the sides split the points when the final whistle blew.

Both teams are back in action next Saturday, with TFC II traveling to take on the Richmond Kickers and Madison returning home to host Greenville Triumph SC.
