Ryan Sierakowski's 50th minute goal decided the game in the Flamingos' favor

MADISON, Wis. - A strike from Ryan Sierakowski was all Forward Madison FC needed to pick up a 1-0 win over rivals the Richmond Kickers on Saturday night at Breese Stevens Field.

The prior meeting between the two teams this season finished scoreless, and the first half followed the same pattern. But that would change shortly after the halftime break, with Jake Keegan setting up Ryan Sierakowski as part of a brilliant move which gave the Flamingos the lead.

Once Madison had the lead, the team relied on its trademark defensive stability this season to see out the result, picking up a vital three points that move them into the playoff positions.

Both teams are back in action on the road next Friday. Madison heads north of the border to take on Toronto FC II, and Richmond will play its fourth and final game of the season against the New England Revolution II.
