The retiring club legend marked his final game with a pair of goals

CARY, N.C. - Club legend Nazmi Albadawi scored twice in his final game before retiring from professional soccer, leading North Carolina FC to a 4-1 win over the New England Revolution II on Saturday night at WakeMed Soccer Park.

The visitors got on the board first through Esmir Bajraktarevic, who used his strength to create space for an accurate shot. But it would take just four minutes for NCFC to equalize, with club legend Nazmi Albadawi netting a goal to mark his final professional game before retirement.

The hosts would turn the game around before halftime, with Josh Coan polishing off a swift counterattack to give NCFC the lead. Coan would then turn provider on two goals in the second half, setting up Albadawi to complete his brace and Jay Tee Kamara 10 minutes later.

New England returns home for its next fixture, a meeting with the Richmond Kickers on Friday, September 17. NCFC travels to take on Chattanooga Red Wolves SC the following day.
