A scoreless draw between Fort Lauderdale and Red Wolves forces the teams to split points

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Fort Lauderdale CF and Chattanooga Red Wolves SC split points in South Florida after a scoreless draw.

Despite the game finishing 0-0, there were many chances throughout the 90 minutes for either side to pull ahead. However, both goalkeepers were strong on their lines to bring their teams a clean sheet.

In the first minute of play, Fort Lauderdale had a great opportunity to score after taking advantage of a Red Wolves' miscommunication in the midfield. However, the shot was easily stopped by keeper Tim Trilk.

Chattanooga had their fair share of opportunities in front of the net, but none were strong enough to put the team ahead. The best chance came in the 72nd minute when a spilled ball off a save rolled to the feet of Ricardo Ruiz right in front of net, but he skyed it over the crossbar.

Trilk had to come up big just a minute later when Mitchell Curry had a breakaway and unselfishly squared it off to teammate Shaan Hundal. Unfortunately for Fort Lauderdale, Trilk was able to intercept the ball just in time to keep the game scoreless.

Despite both sides having double-digit shots and many big chances created, the game remained scoreless after 90 minutes of regular time.

Up next for Chattanooga is a midweek meeting with North Texas SC on Wednesday, while Fort Lauderdale will return to action next Saturday with a road trip to FC Tucson.
