PAPILLION, Neb. - Union Omaha and North Texas SC played to a 0-0 draw on Saturday night at Werner Park, moving los Búhos within two points of league leaders Chattanooga Red Wolves SC.
There was little to separate the teams throughout the first half, as they produced just three shots on target between them and entered halftime deadlocked as a result.
Though the second 45 minutes were similarly scoreless, each club showed far more attacking intent, as North Texas goalkeeper Colin Shutler and Union Omaha stopper Rashid Nuhu were both called upon to make a number of quality saves. But in the end, neither squad could quite come up with the decisive goal, and the pair split the points.
Both teams are back in action next Saturday, with Omaha visiting North Carolina FC and North Texas hosting FC Tucson.
