Richmond picked up a vital three points on the road

GREENVILLE, S.C. - Second half goals by Jonathan Bolanos and Emiliano Terzaghi earned the Richmond Kickers a 2-0 away win over Greenville Triumph SC on Sunday night at Legacy Early College.

The first half produced few chances for either side, with the lone shot on goal of the opening 45 minutes falling Richmond's way but neither team truly threatening the other's goal.

That trend changed immediately on the other side of the break though, as the Bolanos netted the opener in the first minute of the second period. Cutting inside on his right foot, the Richmond attacker cleverly disguised his shot from the edge of the area, sneaking the ball inside the near post.

Emiliano Terzaghi would then put the result beyond doubt in the 81st minute, netting the 22nd League One regular season goal of his career to become the league's all-time top scorer.

The Kickers went on to hold their lead until the final whistle, picking up a vital three points in the midst of an ultra-crowded playoff race.

Both teams are back in action next Saturday. Richmond returns home to host North Carolina FC, while Greenville makes the long trip west to take on FC Tucson.
