Jose Carrera-Garcia gave the Red Wolves the lead before Marios Lomis leveled for Triumph SC

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - In a battle of two of the top three teams in the League One standings, Chattanooga Red Wolves SC and Greenville Triumph SC dueled to a 1-1 draw on Saturday night at CHI Memorial Stadium.

The Red Wolves opened the scoring on 27 minutes through Jose Carrera-Garcia. Chattanooga earned a free kick just outside the area, and the midfielder put a strike on target which took a deflection and went in.

The home side held the lead through halftime, but Greenville would draw level 14 minutes after the break thanks to Marios Lomis' league-leading 12th goal of the season. The Dutch striker acrobatically met a brilliant cross from Aaron Walker in mid-air and flicked the ball cleverly past Tim Trilk in the Red Wolves' goal.

Both sides showed some desire to find a winner, but despite Chattanooga's penchant for scoring late goals this season, the match finished all square.

Triumph SC returns to action with a match against Toronto FC II next Friday, while Chattanooga has another home game coming up when Forward Madison FC comes to town on Saturday, July 31.
