TAMPA, Fla. - USL League One announced on Monday the Team of the Week Presented by Cleer Audio for Week 14 of the 2021 regular season, with North Texas SC defender Kazu named Player of the Week after scoring two goals in the second half of his team’s 4-1 win against Forward Madison FC on Saturday night at Globe Life Park.

Introduced as a halftime substitute, Kazu finished off a lovely team move in the 64th minute to increase North Texas’ lead to three. 10 minutes later, the fullback picked up the ball in space on the left flank and fired an accurate low strike to the bottom-right corner, completing a rampant team attacking performance.

North Texas’ dominant victory over Forward Madison FC sees it lead all clubs with four players represented in this week’s team.

GK - Paul Christensen, Greenville Triumph SC: In his first appearance for Triumph SC, Christensen kept a five-save shutout to earn his side a point at home against North Carolina FC.

D - Kazu, North Texas SC: In addition to his brace, Kazu completed 91 percent of his passes and made four recoveries to spur his side to a big win.

D - Brandon Fricke, Greenville Triumph SC: Fricke made five tackles, won 9 of 13 duels, and made six clearances against North Carolina FC, playing a key role in Greenville’s shutout defensive performance.

D - Eddie Munjoma, North Texas SC: Munjoma scored the second of North Texas’ four goals on Saturday night, won five duels, made three clearances, and passed at an 86 percent accuracy rate.

D - Ryan Spaulding, New England Revolution II: Spaulding continued his strong season, playing.a major role in New England's clean sheet. He won a game-high 6 of 8 duels, made three clearances, two tackles, and passed at a 90 percent accuracy rate.

D - Nelson Martinez, North Carolina FC: Martinez did the dirty work to break up Greenville’s potent attack, winning 7 of 9 duels and making four tackles to go with three interceptions and an 80 percent pass success rate.

M - Ricky Ruiz, Chattanooga Red Wolves SC: Ruiz contributed to both his team's goals in a 2-2 draw with Tucson on Saturday, scoring the first himself and assisting the second. He also created two chances and drew three fouls.

M - Kalil ElMedkhar, North Texas SC: ElMedkhar was the creative force behind North Texas’ free-flowing attack on Saturday, recording two assists and creating five chances in total. He passed at an 83 percent accuracy rate overall on the night.

M - Daniel Bedoya, FC Tucson: Bedoya coolly converted a late penalty kick to set the stage for Tucson’s dramatic comeback in a 2-2 draw against Chattanooga. The midfielder also won five duels and made nine recoveries.

F - Juan Galindrez, Chattanooga Red Wolves SC: Galindrez scored Chattanooga’s second goal in some style, squeezing in a header from a tight angle. He also won 7 of 10 duels and successfully completed 4 of 4 dribbles.

F - Gibran Rayo, North Texas SC: Rayo opened the scoring in the second minute of North Texas SC’s four-goal performance, and assisted Kazu for the team’s third goal midway through the second half.
