The Revolution II scored twice and shutout the Flamingos on Saturday

MADISON, Wisc. - The New England Revolution II earned its first-ever win over Forward Madison FC on Saturday night at Breese Stevens Field, beating the Flamingos 2-0.

Madison had the better of the game on the stat sheet throughout the 90 minutes. The Flamingos had 59 percent of the possession on the night and outshot the Revolution II 20 to 10, but as any soccer fan knows, the only stat that counts in the end is goals.

New England would get two of those on the night, and though Madison was unlucky in hitting the woodwork on multiple occasions, the Flamingos were unable to get on the scoresheet. 16-year-old Noel Buck got things going for the Revolution II just before halftime, and Michael Tsicoulias wrapped things up with a right-footed rocket in the 80th minute.

Up next for Madison is a midweek trip to South Carolina, where the Flamingos will face Greenville Triumph SC. The Revolution II heads home next Saturday for its first home game in nearly a month, welcoming North Texas SC to Gillette Stadium.
