The striker gave South Georgia a much-needed win

STATESBORO, Ga. - Azaad Liadi's second half strike saw South Georgia Tormenta FC snap its four-game losing streak, as the team beat Chattanooga Red Wolves SC 1-0 on Saturday night at Erk Russell Park.

On a very stormy night in Statesboro, the two teams were locked in a stalemate throughout an even first half of few chances. It wouldn't be until 14 minutes after the break that Tormenta found the breakthrough goal through Liadi.

Marco Micaletto fizzed a shot on the Chattanooga goal, and the rebound spilled right into Liadi's path. The South Georgia striker made no mistake with the finish, which would prove to be the match-winner as Tormenta held on to its clean sheet despite plenty of late pressure from the Red Wolves.

Tormenta FC is back in action on Wednesday against Toronto FC II, in what will be the Young Reds' first game at their temporary home venue of Osceola Heritage Park in Kissimmee, Fla. Chattanooga heads west next Saturday for a matchup with FC Tucson.
