The Flamingos scored three second-half goals to erase an early deficit

STATESBORO, Ga. - Forward Madison FC came from behind to beat South Georgia Tormenta FC 3-1 on Saturday night at Erk Russell Park.

Luca Mayr put Tormenta in front with a sensational free kick on 33 minutes. The Austrian struck a shot from well outside the box, which found its way into the top corner.

But Madison came out firing after the break, and had turned the game on its head nine minutes into the second half. Derek Gebhard's close-range finish leveled the score in the 49th minute, and Connor Tobin headed home a corner kick five minutes later as the Flamingos took the lead.

Jake Keegan polished off a stellar performance for Madison by adding the team's third goal on the counterattack, and the Flamingos claimed all three points on the night.

Madison faces a quick turnaround for the next match on its southeastern away trip, as the Flamingos head to Florida for a game against Fort Lauderdale CF on Tuesday. Tormenta has a full week off before it hosts Chattanooga Red Wolves SC next Saturday.
