Marios Lomis' brace led Greenville to a comfortable win over North Texas

GREENVILLE, S.C. - In front of its home fans for the first time since lifting the League One trophy last October, Greenville Triumph SC showed off its attacking firepower in posting an impressive 4-0 win over North Texas SC on Saturday night at Legacy Early College.

Triumph SC came out firing in the first half. It took only seven minutes for Marios Lomis to open the scoring (and his account for Greenville), and Andrew Booth doubled the hosts' lead with an excellent finish just after the half-hour mark.

The fun continued for the reigning League One title-winners in the second half. Lomis added his second and Greenville's third on 57 minutes, before Lachlan McLean rounded off the scoring nine minutes later.

A tussle between the two teams resulted in North Texas' Gibran Rayo being sent off with 15 minutes remaining, along with Kazu Ferreira, who was on the bench at the time. North Texas finished the match with 10 men, but the scoreline remained the same, and Triumph SC ended the night with a comfortable victory.

Greenville takes on League One newcomer North Carolina FC next weekend, while North Texas returns home to host Chattanooga Red Wolves SC.
