League platforms to showcase creators from League One communities

League One communities are home to all kinds of unique and creative people, whether they’re artists, musicians, photographers or painters -- and of course, there’s no sport that highlights the spirit of creativity and community quite like soccer. We want to focus on the connection between soccer and the local arts scene in the places our clubs call home.

League One’s new Arts & Culture Series will see the league’s social media channels highlight the work of the people who make the league’s home cities unique. We’ll host conversations with creators, and give them a platform to showcase the stories behind what they do.

From Instagram Live chats, to photo galleries, to written Q&A’s, League One is looking to use its platforms to share unique artist features. Up first: Union Omaha’s Elma Nfor, who will speak about his love of hip hop and drop a few bars for the people.

We'll also have spotlights on Greenville-based action painter Joe Everson and Richmond-based photographer Jessica Hendricks coming your way. More info on those features, and further installments of the series, is soon to come on League One’s social media channels.
