New England Revolution II has signed defender Francois Dulysse and midfielder Michel Costa da Silva to the club’s roster ahead of the 2021 League One season. The pair of newcomers joins eight returners and four fellow newcomers on New England’s current roster.

Dulysse joins the Revolution II on his first professional contract after splitting his collegiate career between Manhattan College and the University of Central Florida. The 21 year old has also played internationally at the U-20 level for Haiti and is currently in the U-23 Haitain Olympic Team player pool.

Michel joins New England from the Botafogo F.R. U-20 team in his native Brazil, where he featured as a playmaking midfielder for the club’s Academy program. While at Botafogo, Machel spent one year as teammates with current Revolution II midfielder Maciel. So far in 2020, Michel has appeared in 18 games across all competitions for the U-20 side, starting on 11 occasions. Over 34 games for the U-20 squad in 2019, Michel scored a pair of goals and logged 2,500 minutes.

The Revolution II roster currently stands at 14 players as the USL League One offseason continues.

Red Wolves Add Jackson Dietrich

Chattanooga Red Wolves SC has signed forward Jackson Dietrich ahead of the 2021 League One season, the club announced Wednesday. Dietrich becomes the ninth player on the Red Wolves current 2021 roster, joining six returners and fellow newcomers Jimmy Villalobos and Jose Carrera Garcia.

Dietrich joins the Red Wolves after a successful four-year collegiate career at Wright State University. Across his four seasons with the Raiders, Dietrich played in 75 matches, notching 13 goals and 39 assists and earning several all-conference and all-region accolades. The Las Vegas, Nevada native played two seasons in USL Leauge Two while in college, notching nine goals and 10 assists in 26 appearances for the Dayton Dutch Lions.

“I have known Jackson since his youth playing days and I have always been impressed with his mentality,” said Chattanooga Red Wolves Head Coach Jimmy Obleda. “ Jackson has an edge to him that fits the profile of player that we are looking for. That along with the type of soccer player that he is makes for a very dangerous attacking player.  He is going to be a handful this year for opposing teams”

Throughout the 2000’s, Dietrich competed against Obleda’s youth teams that included current Red Wolves players Ronaldo Pineda, Ricky Ruiz and Marky Hernandez at regional championships.

“Based on my past experiences with some of the Red Wolves players, I know that this is a team full of players that want to win no matter what,” said Dietrich. “I think that’s something that I display in my game and ultimately is a huge reason that drew me to the club.”

Dietrich, who has family in Chattanooga, impressed the club’s technical staff at an invite-only trial last month.

“Jackson had been on our radar for a while,” said Red Wolves General Manager Sean McDaniel. “We invited him out to our combine last month to see him play in person and he put on a strong display. Once we saw him perform in that environment we knew we had to make him a Red Wolf and launch his professional career in the Scenic City. His work rate and his personality will make him a fan favorite from day one.”
