TAMPA, Fla. – USL League One announced on Thursday the five nominees for the League One Player of the Month award for October, with top performers from the last month of the league’s second season selected for the ballot.
Voting in the League One Player of the Month Award will be conducted by the following two voting bodies:
The award winner and complete voting results will be announced on Thursday, November 12.
Please note: The League One Player of the Month selection process in no way is tied directly to the voting and selection process of End of the Year awards such as League One Most Valuable Player or position players of the year.
USL League One Player of the Month – October
Evan Conway, Union Omaha – Conway recorded three goals, and of them game-winners, in four matches while providing one assist as Omaha made a late-season run to finish in second place in the league standings.
Lachlan McLean, Greenville Triumph SC – McLean tallied four goals in four matches, completed 38 of 62 passes and won 26 duels to help Triumph SC to a first-place finish in League One.
Arturo Rodriguez, North Texas SC – The reigning League One MVP scored three goals, recorded one assist and created a league-high 18 chances while completing 180 of 208 passes in six matches as North Texas charged up the table to finish in third place.
Alex Morrell, Greenville Triumph SC– Morrell capped off an impressive season with a solid final month where he scored three goals, tallied one assist and created 13 chances while completing 118 of 140 passes as Greenville captured the 2020 USL League One Title.
Greg Hurst, Chattanooga Red Wolves SC – Hurst tallied three goals and created six chances while completing 56 of 79 passes to help the Red Wolves to a fifth-place finish in League One.
