Greenville Triumph SC capped off a fantastic regular season with a 3-1 victory over Orlando City B Saturday afternoon at Osceola County Stadium. The win was Triumph SC’s 11th of the season. 

Alex Morrell opened the scoring in the 11th minute, cleaning up spilled rebound after Lachlan McLean put a shot on frame from close range. 

Morrell doubled his tally 15 minutes later after Evan Lee stepped into midfield to intercept a pass and found him with a pass near the top of the box. Morrell cut the ball on to his left foot and curled a shot towards the back post that deflected off of an OCB defender and past Javier Otero for his fifth goal of the season. 

Omar Mohamed had a chance to add a third at the end of a quick counterattack, but Otero got a strong right hand to his shot at the near post from a tight angle and the deficit remained at two goals. 

Substitute Andrew Booth broke through on goal just after the second half whistle, nodding a long ball out of the back down to himself, but Otero was in good position to deny his shot at the near post. 

Morrell created Triumph SC’s third goal with good hold up play and a clever cross field pass to Paul Clowes. Clowes collected the pass near the endline and found Lachlan McLean with a cutback who tucked away his seventh goal of the season. 

Aleksandar Gluvacevic pulled one back for Orlando City B in the 75th minute, nodding Julian Kennedy’s lofted cross past Dallas Jaye to score his first goal of the season. 

Andrew Booth added a fourth goal for Greenville in the first minute of second half stoppage time, slotting a shot past Otero after Clowes found him with a clever back heel near the penalty spot.

With today's victory, Greenville will finish at least six points clear at the top of the table, meaning the side returns home to host the 2020 League One Final on Friday, October 30 at Legacy Early College. The Triumph will learn their opponent in the Final following today’s day of matches.
