2019 USL League One MVP returns to club for the remainder of 2020 season


Arturo Rodriguez will return to North Texas SC for the remainder of the 2020 season following the termination of his loan agreement with the Championship's Real Monarchs SLC

FRISCO, Texas – North Texas SC and Real Monarchs announced today an agreement to terminate the loan contract of Arturo Rodriguez, allowing the midfielder to return to North Texas effective immediately.

Rodriguez, 21, enjoyed a standout debut season in USL League One, winning the league’s Most Valuable Player award, Young Player of the Year, Player of the Month for May, and was included in the League One Team of the Week on nine occasions.

In total, Rodriguez played 30 games, recorded a league-high 10 assists and added eight goals—including the title-clinching goal in the inaugural USL League One Final. He made two substitute appearances this season for the Monarchs in the USL Championship.
